Condition of Books

Books must be in new condition and unmarked. Shop-worn books, books with stickers, stamps, or otherwise un-saleable will not be accepted for credit and will be returned to you at your expense.

Publisher Non-returnables

ULS will send out "Permission to Ship" requests to all customers who order books from publishers with a non-returnable policy. Customer approval is required by ULS before the item is ordered. Once permission to ship has been received, the book is not subject to cancellation. If the item has been approved by the customer, no return will be accepted.

Duplicate Shipments

We will accept duplicate shipment returns if ULS is at fault, or if the items are in-stock items. Customer duplication on special orders will be assessed a 5% restocking fee.

BOOKS DEEMED UNSUITABLE BY CUSTOMER

If the books are from ULS' catalogues (stock items), no restocking fee will be assessed. Should you wish to return a special order item considered unsuitable for your library collection, a 5% restocking fee will be assessed.

Cataloguing Services

MARC records and/or cardkits are ineligible for credit.

Shipment of Books

Please ensure books are packed properly and securely to avoid damage in transit. These books are deemed yours until they are accepted by ULS for credit.
We regret that no returns will be accepted after 9 (nine) months from invoice date.
Shipping & Delivery
Shipments to most destinations are Free. Unless otherwise specified, shipments to schools will be consolidated. Unless otherwise specified, shipments to schools will be held during the summer break.
Pricing & Terms
All prices are exclusive of GST/HST.
Publishers' list prices on our website do not include your discount.
Prices in some print catalogues and selection lists may reflect a discounted price.
Please contact your local sales representative for discount information.
Prices are subject to change by the publisher without prior notice to ULS.
Payment is net 30 days from the date of invoice.
Accepted payment methods: cheque, money order, cash (in-person payment), Interac, Visa and MasterCard.
Cancellations
For items ordered without cataloguing, we require a minimum of 2 months cancellation period.
For items ordered with cataloguing, we require a minimum of 3 months cancellation period.
